UAV stands for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, commonly known as a drone. These are aircraft that operate without a human pilot on board, either remotely controlled by a human operator or autonomously by onboard computers.
UAVs have a wide range of applications across various industries and sectors. In the military, they are used for reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeted strikes, among other purposes. Civilian uses of UAVs include aerial photography and videography, agricultural monitoring, disaster response, infrastructure inspection, and parcel delivery, among others.
Advancements in UAV technology have led to the development of smaller, more agile drones with improved capabilities such as longer flight times, higher payload capacities, and enhanced sensors. These advancements have further expanded the potential applications of UAVs and contributed to their increasing popularity in both commercial and recreational contexts. However, there are also concerns regarding privacy, safety, and regulation surrounding the use of UAVs.
